Skills Programme: SP 0062/06-17: Safety, Health and Environment Bussiness Relations.Merseta Accreditation Number: 17-QA/ACC/0937/14

Target Audience

  • Newly appointed project based, standard and specialized and permanent employees.

  • Supervisors

  • Safety Officers.

Entry Requirements

  • Candidates enrolling on the programmes must have acceptable literacy level: to read, write and interpret basic concept of languages.

Nomination process

  • Nominated and or interested participants are required to submit DWS internal training intervention/commitment form via their respective training coordinators at sites, regions and clusters, or

  • Alternatively register online, on the DWS intranet: Link: IBTC

  • DWS internal training intervention/commitment form must be submitted, with PDP attached, if training was planned or with motivation on instances where the need is identified after the PDP process.

  • The following OHS unit standards are currently accredited and offered in IBTC:

    • The skills programme includes practical (work-place) experience and addresses the identified needs of the manufacturing, engineering, construction and technology environment industry.

    • The skills programme in Safety, Health and Environment Business Relations is facilitated to internal officials in DWS. The skills programme consists of nine(9) Unit Standards namely:
